Snoop Dogg Becomes Co-Owner of Swansea City Football Club

Legendary American rapper Snoop Dogg has officially joined Championship side Swansea City as a co-owner.

The 53-year-old music icon—real name Calvin Broadus—had teased his involvement while promoting the club’s new kit over the weekend. His investment now makes him a co-owner alongside Croatian football legend Luka Modric, who also recently bought into the club.

“My love for football is no secret, but stepping into club ownership with Swansea City means something special,” Snoop said. “The story of the club and the community really connected with me. This is a proud, working-class city with an underdog spirit—just like me. I’m honoured to be part of the Swans and I’m ready to do my part to support the team. I can’t wait to meet all my YJBS.”

Snoop helped unveil Swansea’s 2025–26 home kit last Saturday, sparking a social media frenzy.

In a statement, Swansea City said:

“Swansea City is delighted to announce that global rap icon and multi-platinum artist Snoop Dogg has become our latest high-profile co-owner and investor.

The 53-year-old, who made waves during the launch of our new kit, joins the ownership group just months after Luka Modric’s involvement was confirmed.

Snoop is widely regarded as one of the most influential rappers in history, with over 35 million albums sold during a career spanning more than three decades.

His passion for sports—particularly football—has been long-standing. He’s been a FIFA video game ambassador and has often been seen wearing football jerseys from around the world.

While wearing the white of Swansea is the latest addition to that trend, his commitment now runs far deeper as he officially becomes part of the club’s ownership.

We believe Snoop’s global reach and passion for the game will help us elevate Swansea City’s profile, boost commercial growth, and support our long-term goals as a football club.”
