The state's Department of Revenue (DOR) has seized a Ghanaian restaurant on Grafton Street in Worcester because of unpaid taxes, according to two signs displayed on the windows of the establishment.

According to the two orange signs, the DOR seized Accra Girls at 1280 Grafton St. for failing to pay taxes.

Requests for comment on Monday were not immediately answered by Accra Girls co-owner Manasseh Konabu or Emmanuel Larbi. A request for comment regarding the timing of the seizure on Monday was not immediately answered by the Department of Revenue.
According to the Worcester Business Journal's profile on Larbi, Accra Girls opened for business in 2017.
According to the restaurant's Instagram page, it provides "hospitality on a plate."
Jollof rice, boiled yam and spinach stew, and banku, a starchy dish made of corn and cassava doughs, are among the Ghanaian dishes served at the restaurant.
