Violent Enugu Gadget Shop Robbery: Man Shot, Community Reels as Hunt for Gang Begins

Enugu, Nigeria – A violent robbery shook the city of Enugu on Friday afternoon, June 13, as a group of armed men stormed Cozeyz Plaza, targeting a gadget store in Onuato.
During the attack, the robbers shot a man, believed to be related to the store owner, before making away with high-value electronic items. The victim is currently receiving treatment at a nearby hospital.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred in broad daylight, sending shockwaves through the local community.
“They just entered and opened fire before anyone could react,” said one witness who requested anonymity for safety reasons.

The victim’s brother, who owns the shop, is pleading with the public for any information that could lead to the arrest of the perpetrators. So far, no arrests have been made, and police investigations are ongoing.
Residents in Onuato and nearby areas have expressed fear and outrage, calling for stronger security measures and faster police response times.
“This kind of violence is becoming too common. We don’t feel safe anymore,” a community member said.
Authorities are urging anyone with CCTV footage, tips, or eyewitness accounts to come forward.
