We demand immediate arrest of the perpetrators in the Asawase killing -- NPP Ashanti Regional Nasara wing.

The Ashanti Regional Nasara Wing have roday 28th July, 2025, through a press statement expressed their regret and concern for the recent killing in the Asawase constituency. 

The statement signed by the Regional Nasara Organizer, Alhaji Saalim M. Bamba, also emphasized on how troubling it is to the constituency and the region in general.

Statement is as follows. 

The Ashanti Regional Nasara Wing of the NPP wishes to express her regret and concern for the recent unfortunate killings in the Asawase constituency.

The situation is not only troubling but borders on the general security of the region in general and in particular the Zongo communities in the region. We sincerely call on the Regional security council to expedite investigation to unravel the real cause of the dastard acts.

We further Call on the Leadership of the Zongo community to genuinely commit to due process to unravel the circumstances leading to the unfortunate development.

While we call on the Government to enhance the security patrols in the area, we also call on the security agencies to remain professional in the discharge of this important duty. We equally call on members of the community to cooperate with them to identify the cause and perpetrators of this criminal behavior.

We express our condolences to the families and associates of the two deceased, Alhaji Abdul Malik Azengdo and one other.
