Cross River Aviation and Tech Sector Get Major Boost from Shettima

Vice President Kashim Shettima has unveiled two newly acquired aircraft for the Cross River State Government, alongside an ultra-modern ICT hub and library aimed at empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

Speaking at the inauguration, Shettima emphasized that the projects align with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritizes economic diversification, technological advancement, and job creation.

The new aircraft are expected to enhance the state’s aviation services and regional connectivity, while the ICT hub will provide entrepreneurs, students, and innovators with access to cutting-edge digital resources, fostering skills development and innovation.

Governor Bassey Otu hailed the initiatives as a “game-changer” for Cross River, noting that they will create opportunities for young people and attract investments into the state’s economy.

The event drew political leaders, business stakeholders, and community members who expressed optimism about the long-term impact of the projects.
