The seven newly confirmed justices of the Apex Court are scheduled to be formally sworn into office today, Thursday, July 3, marking an essential development in the country’s judicial terrain.

The swearing-in event is anticipated to occur at the seat of government, Flagstaff House, where President John Dramani Mahama will administer the oath of office to the incoming judges.

Their appointments followed parliamentary approval and vetting earlier this year, in accordance with Article 144 of the 1992 Constitution.

The new Justices who include seasoned judges from the Court of Appeal —are anticipated to bolster the capacity of the Apex Court, especially as it gears to tackle a mounting caseload involving constitutional interpretation, electoral issues, and complex civil and criminal appeals.
