Zero Tolerance Lagos: Taskforce Arrests Dozens in Agege Clean-Up

Lagos State Taskforce on Environmental and Special Offences has arrested 84 suspects during a recent clean-up operation in Agege.

The arrest was announced by Jubril Gawat, the Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Lagos State Governor, via his official social media accounts. The operation was carried out on Friday, June 20, 2025, focusing on well-known problem areas within Agege.

These locations included the Railway corridor at Ojurin, Isale Oja, Oke Koto, AP junction, and nearby streets, where officials faced suspected offenders.

After the raid, a statement confirmed that 84 suspects were taken into custody—82 men and 2 women. All will face charges in court. This effort supports the state’s broader push to enforce its #ZeroToleranceLagos campaign.

The goal is clear: restore order and keep public spaces clean across Lagos.
