Airline, Not NCAA, Responsible for Comfort Emmanson Charges – Official Statement
The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has distanced itself from the ongoing legal case involving Ibom Air passenger, Ms Comfort Emmanson.
In a recent statement, the regulator clarified that it had no hand in Emmanson’s arrest or prosecution. According to the NCAA, the decision to press charges was solely taken by Ibom Air, following incidents involving the passenger on two separate flights.
The agency stressed that while it oversees aviation safety and operational standards, matters relating to criminal charges fall under the airline’s jurisdiction in such cases.
